The girls love to climb into anything that will fit the both of them. Bathtubs, boxes, but most of all...laundry baskets.

Faces of Melissa Ayla
When we brought this bundle of joy home from the hospital, we never imagined she would one day be a 4 year old who is able to read, write, help out her little sis, and rock the computer and every remote control in the house. Ayla is animated and full of compassion. She brings us tears of pride on a regular basis. Many may not know her namesake. Ayla is actually her middle name and Melissa is her first name. She was named after Melissa Garcia who is one of Mommy's dearest closest friends who passed away when they were 18. Melissa's generous spirit and love for life live strong in Melissa Ayla today.
Pensive Baby Izzy
At the tender yet sage age of 2, our little baby occasionally sits and stares off into space. We don't know what she's pondering but it seems extremely serious.

Month of Ayla: feature 3
November 2004-Yet another move...When we first moved to NY we didn't know anyone and Ayla didn't have any friends yet. Feeling bad for my lonely baby, I went to the mall and purchased 1 big red fuzzy friend. Elmo was just as big as she was but Ayla dragged the poor guy everywhere. No wonder she was upset when she saw her first NY friend shrink wrapped in a plastic bag when Mommy was packing for yet another move.
